Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Elf tribal strategy that integrates a persistent -1/-1 counter attrition engine led by High Perfect Morcant. In the early game, cheap mana dorks like Elvish Mystic, Fyndhorn Elves, and Priest of Titania accelerate mana development. On turn 4, casting Morcant immediately blights each opponent's creatures and activates sorcery-speed proliferation. As additional Elves enter the battlefield, Morcant steadily erodes opposing creature boards while triggering card draw engines like Generous Patron. The deck transitions into a lethal threat around turn 5 by multiplying tokens with Elven Ambush or deploying pump enablers like Ezuri, Renegade Leader and Tyvar the Bellicose. A wide, evasive alpha strike eliminates the table across turns 6 and 7. Robust protection spells such as Heroic Intervention and Steely Resolve shield the board against conventional removal.
