Deck overview

Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver leads a Dimir Zombie tribal aristocrats deck that pairs resilient board presence with compact infinite combos. The deck establishes early board advantage by deploying recursive threats like Gravecrawler and token engines like Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia or Dreadhorde Invasion. Casting Wilhelt on Turn 4 turns every nontoken Zombie death into a decayed Zombie token while converting expendable bodies into steady card advantage at each end step. The primary win condition uses Phyrexian Altar and Gravecrawler alongside Wilhelt and Diregraf Captain to generate infinite mana, infinite death triggers, and an immediate 40-life drain per opponent on Turn 5. If the combo route meets resistance, the deck pivots into an aggressive Zombie swarm supported by cost-reducing spells like Rooftop Storm, stat-boosting lords like Undead Warchief and Death Baron, and mass reanimation spells like Bloodline Bidding.
