Deck overview

This deck is a glass-cannon combo build that uses a unique construction gimmick: 97 basic lands and only two nonland cards in the entire 99. The game plan relies entirely on casting Sanar, Innovative First-Year on Turn 4. Because Sanar is blue and red, its Vivid ability triggers on Turn 5 Main Phase 1 to reveal cards until two nonlands appear. With no other nonlands in the deck, it deterministically reveals, exiles, and allows casting of both Curiosity and Magmakin Artillerist for four mana. By skipping a land drop on Turn 5, you enter the cleanup step with eight cards. Discarding to hand size triggers Magmakin to deal damage to each opponent, which triggers Curiosity to draw three cards. This forces repeated cleanup steps, looping damage until the entire table is eliminated on Turn 5. However, running 97 lands leaves zero interaction, protection, or recursion.
