Deck overview

This Golgari deck is commanded by Glissa, Herald of Predation, focusing on Phyrexian tribal synergy, incubate tokens, toxic combat, and proliferate engines. The game plan opens with efficient mana ramp and early toxic creatures to establish initial poison counters on opponents. Once Glissa enters on Turn 5, her combat triggers quickly build or transform an army of Phyrexian Incubators while granting lethal first strike and deathtouch to attacks. The deck transitions into a decisive threat on Turn 6 by swinging with high-stature Phyrexians and proliferating poison counters through cards like Contaminant Grafter, Evolution Sage, and Vraska, Betrayal's Sting. It defends its proactive development with flexible removal spells and one-sided creature sweepers such as Kindred Dominance and Phyresis Outbreak. Without dedicated combo loops or fast mana, the deck secures victory on Turn 8 through steady combat pressure and poison accumulation.
