Deck overview

This Sultai control deck uses Xavier Sal, Infested Captain alongside a dense suite of Empower Jace cards to generate planeswalker tokens, accumulate loyalty, and dominate the game through proliferation. Early turns focus on establishing mana acceleration and deploying empower engines like Mindseeker Oculus and Way of the Cryomancer. Xavier Sal populates creature tokens and proliferates counters to accelerate planeswalkers toward their ultimate abilities. The primary victory route leverages rapid loyalty stacking to activate Jace, Reality Sculptor's 25-loyalty ability, exiling each opponent's library down to one card so they lose on their next turn. Alternate lines include creating an indestructible 20/20 Marit Lage token using Dark Depths and Thespian's Stage, or chaining extra turns with Ichormoon Gauntlet and Teferi, Master of Time. Instant-speed protection such as Ripples of Potential and Mutational Advantage keeps planeswalkers safe from sweepers and combat steps.
