Deck overview

Wick, the Whorled Mind commands a deadly Grixis Rat-tribal strategy that fuses go-wide creature swarms, aristocrat life drains, and explosive burn-combo finishes. The deck accelerates through early mana rocks and low-cost Rats to deploy Wick on Turn 3 or 4, establishing an immediate Snail token engine. Every subsequent Rat cast or token created steadily enlarges the Snail, transforming it into both a colossal card-draw refill and a lethal table-wide direct-damage bomb. Rather than relying purely on incremental combat damage, the deck capitalizes on power multipliers and infect enablers like Tainted Strike, Phyresis, Unleash Fury, and Plague of Vermin. By granting Wick or the Snail infect or doubling the Snail's power, a single activation of Wick's {U}{B}{R} ability eliminates all three opponents simultaneously through direct damage or poison counters.
