Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck uses Baral, Chief of Compliance to discount instants and sorceries while looting through the library whenever a spell is countered. The deck controls the game at instant speed with over 20 counterspells, spot removal, and mass bounce spells. As the game progresses, spell-velocity engines like Talrand, Sky Summoner, Murmuring Mystic, Deekah, Fractal Theorist, and Metallurgic Summonings create an army of flying tokens with each spell cast. Mass bounce spells like Cyclonic Rift and Aether Gale remove opposing blockers, clearing the way for lethal airborne combat damage. The list operates on a draw-go cadence, maintaining open mana on opposing turns to dictate the pace of the game.
