Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Dimir tempo and burn list centered on Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The primary game plan begins by deploying cheap, evasive 1-drop creatures such as Changeling Outcast and Slither Blade on Turn 1. On Turn 2, an unblocked attack triggers Commander ninjutsu for {U}{B}, cheating Yuriko into play while ignoring the commander tax. Whenever Ninjas deal combat damage, Yuriko reveals the top card of the library, placing it into hand and burning each opponent for its mana value. The deck accelerates this clock by manipulating the top of the library with cards like Brainstorm, Lim-Dûl's Vault, and Sensei's Divining Top to reveal disproportionately high-CMC spells like Shadow of Mortality (15 damage), Dig Through Time (8 damage), and Treasure Cruise (8 damage). Supported by low-cost countermagic and removal, the deck maintains pressure while drawing cards, swiftly closing the game around Turn 5.
