Deck overview

This Sultai deck transforms Crab tribal synergy and Landfall mechanics into a lethal table-wide mill engine led by Homer, the Hermit. Early turns prioritize rapid mana acceleration through 0–2 CMC ramp, fetchlands, and low-cost Crabs like Ruin Crab and Hard Evidence. Once Homer enters the battlefield, every land drop forces opponents to mill cards scaled to your Crab count. The deck escalates rapidly by doubling triggers with Ancient Greenwarden, Roaming Throne, or Bruvac the Grandiloquent, before executing a game-ending burst with Scapeshift or Splendid Reclamation to empty opposing libraries in one turn cycle. A robust suite of free and efficient interaction (Pact of Negation, Force of Negation, Deadly Rollick, Veil of Summer) protects the engine during critical setup windows. Even when Homer is removed, redundant mill permanents and Finale of Devastation provide reliable backup paths to victory.
