Deck overview

Vren, the Relentless leads a Dimir Rat swarm strategy focused on overwhelming opponents through sheer density and scaling power. By packing twenty-two relentless swarm creatures including Rat Colony and Relentless Rats, the deck consistently develops exponential board pressure without needing specific combo pieces. Vren acts as a disruptive value engine, exiling opposing dying creatures and converting enemy casualties into massive scaling Rat tokens. Anthem engines like Ashcoat of the Shadow Swarm, Marrow-Gnawer, and Pack Rat turn the board into lethal attackers, while evasion enablers like Cover of Darkness bypass blockers to close out the game through coordinated combat damage.
