Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a mono-red Dragon/Treasure deck built to weaponize artifact tokens as both a mana engine and a damage source. Smaug the Magnificent is a 4/3 flying haste beater whose attack trigger snipes any target for the number of Treasures you control, and who passively creates a Treasure each upkeep. The deck layers redundant token multipliers - Xorn, Academy Manufactor, Goldspan Dragon, Ancient Copper Dragon, and Descent into Avernus - then converts that token count into table-wide damage through Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, Twinflame Tyrant, Fiery Emancipation, Isengard Unleashed, and pingers like Reckless Fireweaver. Extra combat steps from Aggravated Assault, Relentless Assault, Karlach, Fury of Avernus, and Scourge of the Throne let Smaug's attack trigger fire multiple times in one turn, turning the Treasure count into a lethal burn loop. Hellkite Tyrant provides an alternate twenty-artifact win.
