Commander: Lazav, Dimir Mastermind

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Lazav, Dimir Mastermind is a slow, value-oriented mill deck. Its primary plan is to grind opponents' libraries down with repeatable effects such as Ruin Crab, Dreamborn Muse, and Undead Alchemist, then finish with mass-mill spells like Maddening Cacophony and Traumatize into Keening Stone, or with the Duskmantle Guildmage + Mindcrank loop. Lazav acts as a resilient hexproof copy of the best creature milled from an opponent, offering an alternate combat path. Syr Konrad and Notion Thief provide drain and card advantage. There is no hidden commander; the deck's engines are spread among the 99. The commander can be ignored and the mill plan still functions, though resolved graveyard hate is a severe problem.
