Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger storm strategy led by Vivi Ornitier. Vivi acts as both a scaling team-wide burn engine and a once-per-turn burst mana source. The deck sets up on early turns with cheap cantrips, mana rocks, and cost-reducers before casting Vivi on Turn 3. On Turn 4, cheap noncreature spells pump Vivi to generate additional mana for card velocity. On Turn 5, the deck launches a critical storm turn using wheel effects like Wheel of Fortune or auras like Curiosity, which draw three cards per noncreature spell. This massive card flow facilitates a same-turn table kill via the infinite combo of Storm-Kiln Artist and Haze of Rage with buyback, or through lethal noncombat damage from Vivi and Coruscation Mage. The deck runs strong countermagic like Force of Will and Mana Drain, but remains vulnerable to targeted removal when tapping out early.
