Augustin Taxes

Format: Commander

Commander: Grand Arbiter Augustin IV

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Grand Arbiter Augustin IV leads a classic Azorius stax/tax strategy: every opponent spell and attack gets taxed while your own spells cost less. The plan is to lock down combat with Propaganda effects, choke spellcasting with Thalia/Archon-style permanents, and use board wipes to reset. The primary finish is the two-step Approach of the Second Sun + Narset's Reversal loop; Azor's Elocutors and flyer beats are backup. Every piece supports a slow, attritional game where the pilot can outlast three opponents and land a clean win.
