Deck overview

This mono-black deck, led by Tinybones, Pocket Nuisance, operates as a dedicated 8-Rack stax and attrition engine. It aims to empty all opposing hands as early as possible using dense, low-cost discard creatures and enchantments like Burglar Rat, Bottomless Pit, and Oppression. Once opponents are hellbent, the deck converts their empty hands into steady life loss and resource denial through cards like Liliana's Caress, Quest for the Nihil Stone, Bandit's Talent, and Painful Quandary. Defensive staples such as Ensnaring Bridge and Noetic Scales prevent combat retaliation, while Tergrid, God of Fright and Waste Not generate overwhelming card and board advantage from opposing discards. The primary assembly comes online on Turn 3, escalating into an oppressive hand-lock state by Turn 5. Opponents are steadily drained to zero over three subsequent response cycles, securing a Turn 8 victory through sustained rack triggers, creature beatdown, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel.
