Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius spellslinger control strategy that converts cheap noncreature spells into a wide army of creature tokens. Led by Raff, Weatherlight Stalwart, the deck generates steady card advantage by tapping token creatures whenever you cast an instant or sorcery. The early game focuses on deploying Raff and establishing token producers like Monastery Mentor and Talrand, Sky Summoner. During the mid-game, low-cost cantrips and interaction replenish your hand while filling the board with flying Birds, Drakes, and prowess Monks. Protective spells such as Clever Concealment and Flawless Maneuver safeguard your creatures against sweepers with little to no mana investment. The deck wins by launching wide combat attacks buffed by Leonin Lightscribe, Mirror Entity, or Raff's activated ability, or by rapidly drawing into and resolving Approach of the Second Sun.
