Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Dragon tribal midrange/stompy strategy commanded by Rivaz of the Claw. Rivaz acts as both a potent mana accelerant—tapping for two mana of any color combination exclusively for Dragon creature spells—and a recurring recursion engine that casts one Dragon per turn directly from the graveyard. The deck leverages efficient mana rocks, dragon cost-reducers, and treasure generators to power out massive flying threats well ahead of curve. Rather than pursuing compact infinite combos, the game plan focuses on establishing catastrophic damage triggers through cards like Terror of the Peaks, Scourge of Valkas, and Dragon Tempest, alongside explosive token generators like Utvara Hellkite and Lathliss, Dragon Queen. Supported by premium Rakdos removal and spell-redirect protection, the deck applies relentless pressure in the air while rebuilding smoothly from standard sweepers via commander recursion.
