Deck overview

This Orzhov deck helmed by MacCready, Lamplight Mayor is a poison/infect aggro strategy built on a swarm of small toxic and infect creatures. The primary plan is to chip in early poison counters, then use proliferate effects to rapidly accelerate the clock across all opponents simultaneously. The commander provides skulk to the small attackers (making them nearly unblockable against larger boards) and offers a small life-drain deterrent against opposing fatty beatdown. The deck leans heavily on its dense redundancy of cheap poison creatures and token generators, supported by a moderate stax package (attack taxes and tapped-down creatures) and a handful of board wipes. While it lacks infinite combos or explosive fast mana, the sheer volume of low-curve threats and repeatable proliferate engines gives it a grindier inevitability path. Secondary poison delivery comes from Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon and flyers, while Inkshield and White Sun's Twilight can swing a stalled board.
