Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Boros aggressive midrange deck commanded by Sephiroth, Fallen Hero. The primary strategy focuses on deploying low-cost modified creatures, modular artifact creatures, and self-equipping token permanents (Job Select, Living Weapon, and For Mirrodin! cards) during the early turns. Once Sephiroth enters the battlefield, his Jenova Cells ability turns every modified creature into a base 7/5 threat upon attacking. This creates an immediate leap in combat power, allowing small utility tokens and 1/1 creatures to swing for massive damage. The deck features built-in commander recursion through Sephiroth's The Reunion ability, letting you bypass commander tax by sacrificing modified creatures. Robust protection spells like Clever Concealment and Moogles' Valor defend wide boards against sweepers, while asymmetric cards like Damning Verdict clear opposing blockers without harming your modified army.
