Deck overview

This deck is a Mardu life-gain combo strategy led by Licia, Sanguine Tribune. It uses early mana rocks, low-cost lifelink creatures, and efficient card-advantage engines to build an insurmountable life total while preparing a decisive finish. The primary path to victory is an infinite life-drain loop pairing Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror with damage-reflection pieces like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Sanguine Bond, or Enduring Tenacity. Powerful tutors like Vampiric Tutor and Enlightened Tutor ensure rapid assembly by Turn 5. The deck defends its win window with free interaction such as Deflecting Swat and Flawless Maneuver, alongside Silence. When the primary combo is disrupted, secondary lines like Bolas's Citadel with Aetherflux Reservoir, or Beacon of Immortality with Vizkopa Guildmage, provide swift alternate finishes.
