This Esper deck wins by casting noncreature spells with mana value 3 or greater to trigger Y'shtola, Night's Blessed for 2 damage to each opponent and 2 life gain, while drawing a card each end step when 4 or more life was lost. Y'shtola is the central engine and payoff, turning every 3-mana instant, sorcery or enchantment into drain and card advantage. Backup drainers Kambal, Papalymo, Queza, Enduring Tenacity and Bloodchief Ascension stack damage and convert life gain into loss. Card advantage from Rhystic Study, Archmage Emeritus and Bolas's Citadel keeps spells flowing, with Queza and Bolas's Citadel acting as hidden commanders that can close games without Y'shtola.
