Deck overview

This Grixis deck is built around Sauron, the Dark Lord as a draw engine: every Ring temptation can be turned into a four-card refill, while amass triggers from a dense package of Orcs, spells, and Saruman, the White Hand create a single enormous Army. Saruman acts as a hidden commander; Fiery Inscription, Summons of Saruman, and Sauron's Ransom turn spell-casting into Army size. The finish is a hasted, trampling Army attack, ideally doubled by Scourge of the Throne, with Wraith tokens and Fiery Inscription pings as secondary damage. The deck is midrange and graveyard-tolerant, with reanimation and recursion as a backup plan, but it relies on its Army and has thin enchantment and stack interaction.
