Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai Equipment Voltron strategy helmed by Captain America, First Avenger. The deck uses Captain America's Catch trigger to cheat high equip costs on massive weapons like Colossus Hammer, Excalibur, Sword of Eden, and Genji Glove. Once equipped, Captain America swings for lethal commander damage while using his Throw ability to unattach equipment at instant speed, dealing direct damage to remove opposing blockers, utility creatures, and commanders. A deep suite of equipment tutors and card draw engines ensures smooth assembly by Turn 4. The deck protects its attacks with turn-silencing effects like Grand Abolisher and Conqueror's Flail, alongside complete phase-out protection from Robe of Stars. It also slows down opposing spell-slinging and combo turns with High Noon and Torpor Orb, while bypassing their restrictions through combat triggers and activated abilities to close out the game by Turn 6.
