Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color creature spellslinger engine commanded by Codie, Ravenous Codex with Umori, the Collector as its companion. By maintaining an all-creature construction, the deck utilizes prepare creatures whose castable spell copies function as instants and sorceries on the stack. Codie doubles every prepare spell you cast and can spend {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} to reprepare your entire battlefield. The game plan focuses on deploying efficient mana dorks and cost reducers in the early turns, establishing Codie by Turn 3, and assembling value engines like Storm-Kiln Artist, Vega, the Watcher, and Kykar, Wind's Fury on Turn 4. On Turn 5, the deck initiates an explosive turn by copying powerful prepare spells like Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song and Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall. The resulting mana and card surplus easily closes the table on Turn 6 through a doubled Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate or a token swarm buffed by Magmablood Archaic.
