Commander: Gargos, Vicious Watcher

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-green Hydra stompy deck helmed by Gargos, Vicious Watcher. The plan is straightforward: ramp hard, land Gargos to discount every Hydra by {4}, then flood the board with oversized X-spells and counter engines. Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, Loading Zone, and The Earth Crystal turn modest investments into enormous bodies, while Kalonian Hydra, Unnatural Growth, and Overwhelming Stampede convert that mass into multiplayer-lethal combat. Hydra Omnivore and Finale of Devastation (X 10) provide alternate close-outs. Gargos also functions as a rattlesnake-any spell that targets your creatures triggers a fight-discouraging spot removal. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins through raw combat damage and force-multipliers. Expect a classic green ramp-into-haymakers curve that pressures the table once the commander sticks.
