Deck overview

This Simic deck is helmed by Duggan, Private Detective and operates as a classic Maro-style midrange beatdown strategy centered around maximum hand size. The game plan focuses on expanding and preserving a massive hand using no-maximum-hand-size permanents like Thought Vessel, Reliquary Tower, and Body of Knowledge, which scales Duggan and interchangeable beaters like Masumaro, First to Live, Sturmgeist, and Overbeing of Myth into massive threats. Large draw spells like Rishkar's Expertise, Return of the Wildspeaker, and Traverse Eternity refill the grip while growing the board. Evasion equipment and auras such as Aqueous Form, Psychic Paper, and Bessie, the Doctor's Roadster ensure Duggan connects for lethal commander damage, while Psychosis Crawler provides table-wide burn. Although the deck lacks tutors, fast mana, and stax, it features robust redundancy among its draw engines and beaters to maintain consistent pressure throughout the midgame.
