Commander: Toph, the First Metalbender

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Naya lands-matter deck helmed by Toph, the First Metalbender, built almost entirely around the earthbend mechanic - turning lands into 0/0 creatures with +1/+1 counters. The commander's signature ability makes every nontoken artifact a land in addition to its other types, supercharging landfall triggers and mana production, while her end-step earthbend grows a land into a hasty creature. The deck wins primarily through combat: enormous land creatures with trample and double strike, accelerated by counter-doublers like Solid Ground, The Earth Crystal, and Loading Zone. The cleanest combo is Bumi, Unleashed plus Ashaya, Soul of the Wild, generating infinite combat steps. Secondary lines include the commander plus Badgermole Cub for a massive mana engine, and Toph, Greatest Earthbender granting double strike to all land creatures. This is a midrange value engine that ramps hard and overwhelms with land-creature beats.
