SHANNINIGANS by Theverb

Format: Commander

Commander: Shanna, Purifying Blade

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Bant deck turns lifegain into card advantage and then into infinite mana. Shanna, Purifying Blade is the main draw engine: she gains life through combat or lifelink, then draws on the end step. The deck also runs redundant lifegain payoffs in Dawn of Hope, Well of Lost Dreams, and Alhammarret's Archive. Its primary finish is an untap loop involving Bloom Tender, Accomplished Alchemist, or Selvala with Freed from the Real or Umbral Mantle, converted by Staff of Domination, Helix Pinnacle, or Aetherflux Reservoir. Life-total win conditions (Felidar Sovereign, Test of Endurance) and Aesi/Tatyova landfall draw give secondary paths. The commander is valuable but not strictly required, because the 99 contains independent draw engines and multiple creature-based combo families.
