Deck overview

This deck leverages The Sentry, Golden Guardian to orchestrate a controlled combat environment. By gifting opponents 5/5 indestructible 'The Void' tokens that are forced to attack each combat, the deck turns opposing combat steps into liabilities. Behind a defensive shell of Ghostly Prison, Windborn Muse, and Norn's Annex, The Void tokens cannot easily attack you, forcing opponents to batter one another instead. Blink engines like Teleportation Circle and Conjurer's Closet reuse The Sentry's enters trigger to distribute more Void tokens across the table while resetting utility creatures. Further suppression from Blind Obedience, Loxodon Gatekeeper, and Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines slows down enemy development and eliminates ETB triggers. Meanwhile, damage redirection tools such as Pariah on Phyrexian Vindicator convert any incoming aggression into direct retaliation, allowing you to sweep up the survivors with an evasive commander clock.
