Deck overview

This mono-black Aristocrats deck is led by Ayara, First of Locthwain, leveraging Vampire tribal synergies, low-cost creature fodder, and recurring sacrifice engines to drain opposing life totals while generating steady card advantage. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with rock-based mana before deploying Ayara on Turn 3. From Turn 4 onward, it establishes a reliable engine using sacrifice outlets and death triggers from cards like Bastion of Remembrance and Blood Artist. Massive creature removal density, including Defile, Infernal Grasp, and Massacre Girl, keeps opposing boards clear while triggering aristocrat drain. In the mid-game, threats such as Gisa, the Hellraiser, Revel in Riches, and Butcher of Malakir create an overwhelming board presence and critical life disparity, culminating in a table finish around Turn 8 via stacked drain triggers, token swarms, or a scaled Exsanguinate. While resilient to graveyard recovery, the deck remains vulnerable to exile sweepers and non-creature permanents.
