Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Veyran, Voice of Duality leads a low-slung Izzet storm-burn list (2.42 average MV without lands) whose game plan is to chain instants and sorceries until the table dies by doublings. A dozen interchangeable "whenever you cast an instant or sorcery" permanents - Guttersnipe, Firebrand Archer, Kessig Flamebreather, Erebor Flamesmith, Electrostatic Field, Coruscation Mage, Exalted Flamer of Tzeentch, Fiery Inscription, Longshot, Rebel Bowman, Thunderdrum Soloist, Vivi Ornitier - each fire twice per spell while Veyran is on the battlefield. Cheap selection (Ponder, Preordain, Opt, Brainstorm, Expressive Iteration) fuels the chain; rituals (Seething Song, Jeska's Will, Mana Geyser) and Birgi, God of Storytelling pay for it. The primary kill is a stormed Grapeshot at the top of a long spell chain, with Underworld Breach, overloaded Mizzix's Mastery, and Invoke Calamity as recursive finish variants. Solphim, Mayhem Dominus and Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might turn every 1-damage pinger into a genuine threat. Fast, fragile, all-in, and capable of a turn-5 goldfish kill.
