Deck overview

This mono-black Commander deck is built around Ghoulcaller Gisa, converting high-power creatures and recurring Zombie tokens into a massive undead army. The deck's early turns focus on establishing mana acceleration through artifacts like Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, and Jet Medallion, followed by deploying synergistic Zombie lords such as Death Baron, Cemetery Reaper, and Undead Warchief. Once Gisa is established, she acts as an exponential token engine, sacrificing large fodder like Grave Titan or buffed nontoken Zombies to flood the board. Aristocrat payoffs like Ayara, First of Locthwain, Vengeful Dead, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel drain opponent life totals while the swarm attacks. Board control is maintained through one-sided asymmetric wipes such as Noxious Ghoul and edict effects like Fleshbag Marauder. While vulnerable to sweepers and lacking stack protection, the list generates high board pressure and steady card flow.
