Deck overview

Blech, Loafing Pest is the lynchpin of a Golgari token/counter deck that turns incidental life gain into an ever-growing army of Pests, Bats, Insects, Snakes, and Spiders. The primary plan is to develop a small life-gain engine (Virulent Emissary, Bogwater Lumaret, Pest Rescuer), create many Pest tokens, and let Blech distribute +1/+1 counters on every life-gain event. Secondary paths are sacrifice/drain value from Blood Artist and friends, and Gray Merchant as a large life-swing. Root Manipulation is the overrun finisher, while Plumb the Forbidden, Skullclamp, and Moldervine Reclamation keep the hand full. The deck needs its commander to scale quickly, but token/drain value alone can grind opponents out.
