Deck overview

This Nekusar, the Mindrazer deck operates as an explosive Grixis Wheels and combo powerhouse. It blends high-velocity mana acceleration, universal black tutors, and a dense suite of free interaction with two potent avenues of victory: a lightning-fast Thassa's Oracle plus Demonic Consultation combo, and a punishing wheel attrition engine. Fueled by format-staple fast mana including Sol Ring, Mana Vault, and Chrome Mox, the deck rapidly establishes card velocity through wheels like Wheel of Fortune, Windfall, and Time Spiral, or powerful draw engines like Necropotence and Rhystic Study. With Nekusar, the Mindrazer, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, or Underworld Dreams on the battlefield, forced draw spells inflict lethal damage across the entire table in rapid succession. Simultaneously, the deck maintains format-ceiling protection with zero-cost countermagic such as Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, and Pact of Negation, enabling decisive Turn 3 victories while disrupting opposing game plans.
