Niko, Light of Hope by GLaMouRCauLK

Format: Commander

Commander: Niko, Light of Hope

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

An Azorius Merfolk beatdown deck. Niko, Light of Hope creates two Shard tokens, then exiles a nonlegendary creature and turns all Shards into copies of it for the turn. That gives the deck a repeatable copying engine on top of a solid Merfolk tribal shell of lords, islandwalk enablers, and draw-on-damage creatures. A second Niko in the 99, Niko Aris, adds more Shards and unblockable/sweeper lines. The usual path is to build a critical mass of lorded Merfolk, attack through islandwalk or unblockable, and finish with Master of Waves or Stormtide Leviathan. The deck is interactive and protects its engine, but has no combo finish and wins over several combat steps.
