Deck overview

Ob Nixilis, Unshackled is a mono-black 'search punishment' control deck. The central engine pairs Ob with Maralen of the Mornsong and Mornsong Aria: the commander's trigger turns every opponent library search into a 10-life loss plus a sacrifice, while the Mornsong effects convert each draw step into up to two searches. A secondary big-mana package (Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, Bubbling Muck) fuels Exsanguinate or a huge Gray Merchant. Demons and reanimation effects give a combat/recursion fallback. The deck is tutor-dense, tax-heavy, and prefers to draw the game out just long enough to make opponents' draw steps lethal.
