Deck overview

This deck executes a high-impact Rakdos stompy strategy centered on Rakdos, Lord of Riots. During the opening turns, the deck fixes mana and deploys low-cost burn spells, utility lands, and pingers to ensure an opponent loses life on Turn 4. Once Rakdos enters the battlefield, any combat or direct damage dealt to opponents converts into massive generic mana cost reduction. On Turn 5, connecting with Rakdos or chaining burn spells lets you deploy game-ending Eldrazi titans such as Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger, Kozilek, Butcher of Truth, Void Winnower, and Blightsteel Colossus for little to no mana. These massive threats provide devastating on-cast triggers, Annihilator sacrifice effects, and overwhelming trample damage that close out the game by Turn 7. Efficient free interaction like Deflecting Swat and Deadly Rollick safeguards the engine against opposing creature strategies and removal spells.
