Deck overview

This Meren of Clan Nel Toth deck is an optimized Golgari reanimator and midrange combo strategy. It accelerates early mana with low-cost mana dorks like Llanowar Elves and Elves of Deep Shadow, then rapidly stocks the graveyard using efficient tutors such as Buried Alive and Entomb alongside repeatable self-mill engines. The primary win condition is an infinite direct-damage combo between Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and Triskelion, typically reanimated together on Turn 4 via Victimize. In games where the combo is disrupted or delayed, the deck transitions into a potent attrition plan. By leveraging Meren's end-step recursion on creatures like Plaguecrafter, Accursed Marauder, and Spore Frog, it continuously strips opposing boards and shuts down combat steps while drawing cards through engines like Morbid Opportunist and Braids, Arisen Nightmare. Alternate win paths include mass reanimation through Living Death and lethal life drain from Gray Merchant of Asphodel.
