Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai 'play from exile' and +1/+1 counters aggro deck led by Gwen Stacy // Ghost-Spider. The strategy deploys cheap exile enablers early, casts Gwen Stacy on Turn 2, and transforms her on Turn 5 into a flying, vigilant, hasty threat. Playing cards from exile places counters on Ghost-Spider and triggers paradox damage from engines like Flaming Tyrannosaurus, Shadow of the Goblin, and Spider-Man 2099. The deck generates steady card advantage by turning impulse exile into fresh resources and counter-based board growth. While the engine compounds efficiently in combat, the deck lacks fast mana, heavy countermagic, and universal tutors. Consequently, it relies on incremental damage across multiple combat steps, reaching full table elimination around Turn 9 while using spot removal and one-sided sweepers like Urza's Ruinous Blast to clear the way.
