Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Selesnya Voltron deck helmed by Sergeant John Benton. It leverages a dense package of zero- and one-mana acceleration to cast Benton on Turn 2. Because the commander has innate haste and trample, he attacks immediately. Free and efficient pump spells like Invigorate, Berserk, and Mutagenic Growth turn his combat damage into both an explosive lethal clock and massive card advantage via Share Intelligence. Connecting with Benton refills the player's hand with 6 to 12 new cards, drawing directly into layers of cheap protective interaction such as Silence, Veil of Summer, Flawless Maneuver, and hexproof instants. While Share Intelligence also feeds the defending opponent cards, the deck aims to eliminate that opponent quickly via 21 commander damage while maintaining defensive superiority over the rest of the pod. The deck systematically eliminates one player per turn, closing out the game by Turn 4.
