Commander: Edgar Markov

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Edgar Markov vampire-tribal deck built on the single most powerful eminence engine in the format: every Vampire spell cast - even with Edgar sitting in the command zone - creates a free 1/1 Vampire token. The core plan is to chain cheap vampires into a wide swarm, break the board open with lords and force-multipliers like Legion Lieutenant, Stromkirk Captain, Shared Animosity, and Vanquisher's Banner, then close with table-wide drain: Sanctum Seeker, Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, Malakir Bloodwitch, Bloodletter of Aclazotz, or the X-spell Exsanguinate. A secondary, abrupt win channel is the infinite life-drain loop: Sanguine Bond or Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose paired with Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror. Casting Edgar himself is an accelerant, not a requirement - when he lands, his haste attack first-strikes that same turn and puts a +1/+1 counter on the entire team.
