Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Esper Zombie tribal deck commanded by Varina, Lich Queen. It blends aristocrat sacrifice loops, mass reanimation, and aggressive token generation. The primary strategy uses early Zombie drops to fuel Varina's attack trigger, rapidly filtering through the library while filling the graveyard with high-value targets. The deck can pivot between swarming the board with pumped Zombie tokens and executing an instant-speed infinite drain loop using Gravecrawler, a sacrifice outlet like Phyrexian Altar or Warren Soultrader, and an ETB/death drain payoff such as Corpse Knight or Wayward Servant. Robust mass reanimation spells like Living Death and Patriarch's Bidding provide immense resilience against sweepers, allowing the deck to recover its entire board in a single turn. While the list excels at proactive resource accumulation and engine recovery, its main vulnerabilities lie in targeted graveyard exile and a low density of reactive interaction.
