Smaug on the other by Hadessensei

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos Dragon-treasure burn deck built around Smaug the Impenetrable, an indestructible, hasty 8/7 that converts every point of noncombat damage it takes into a Treasure token. The entire strategy is a self-harm engine: the deck pings its own commander with cheap red pings and global enchantments (Rile, Pyrohemia, Pestilence, Requiem Monolith), floods the board with Treasures, then multiplies them with Xorn, Academy Manufactor, and Goldspan Dragon before converting them into massive X-damage finishers like Crackle with Power, Comet Storm, and Banefire. A secondary drain axis - Marionette Master, Mayhem Devil, Mirkwood Bats, Reckless Fireweaver - punishes artifact death and token creation. Magda, Brazen Outlaw acts as a repeatable tutor for the key Equipment and Dragons, while Tor Wauki the Younger and Chandra's Ignition turn Smaug's body itself into a one-shot table nuke.
