Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Esper tempo reanimator deck commanded by Raffine, Scheming Seer. Its strategy leverages low-cost, evasive attackers to trigger Raffine's connive ability immediately upon entry. Conniving serves two purposes: it rapidly filters through the library while growing board presence with +1/+1 counters, and it dumps backbreaking creatures directly into the graveyard. From there, efficient reanimation spells such as Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Necromancy cheat out devastating Praetors and demons like Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, and Archon of Cruelty as early as Turn 3 or 4. The deck protects this plan with top-tier free countermagic, silence effects like Voice of Victory, and resilient utility creatures. Once an oppressive lock piece resolves, opponents are starved of resources while an increasingly large swarm of connived creatures closes out the table through combat.
