Nicol Bolas - super friends by Yimr

Format: Commander

Commander: Nicol Bolas, the Ravager // Nicol Bolas, the Arisen

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Grixis "Bolas tribal" superfriends/control deck helmed by Nicol Bolas, the Ravager. The primary game plan is to seize control through discard, spot removal, and board wipes while ramping toward big mana, then close the game with the Bolas's Citadel + Aetherflux Reservoir + Sensei's Divining Top combo, a massive Torment of Hailfire, or a planeswalker ultimate. The commander flips into Nicol Bolas, the Arisen for repeatable card advantage, and the 99 is packed with alternate Bolas walkers (Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God, Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh, Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker) that each threaten to take over the game on their own. It is a slow, value-driven deck that wins through inevitability rather than speed.
