Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos spellslinger burn strategy commanded by Kuja, Genome Sorcerer. The game plan revolves around generating Wizard creature tokens through Kuja's end-step trigger and low-cost token generators, then transforming Kuja into Trance Kuja, Fate Defied by controlling four Wizards. Once transformed, Kuja doubles all damage dealt by your Wizards, supercharging ping triggers from creature tokens, Coruscation Mage, and Black Waltz No. 3. The deck utilizes cheap burn spells, cantrips, and burst mana rituals like Dark Ritual, Seething Song, and Mana Geyser to cast multiple noncreature spells in a single turn. Graveyard recursion through Past in Flames and Invoke Calamity allows the deck to replay its entire graveyard, delivering lethal damage across the table in explosive burst turns. While vulnerable to board wipes and enchantment-based threats, the deck maintains high redundancy among its burn engines, allowing it to rapidly close out games through non-combat damage.
