Deck overview

This is an Orzhov life-drain deck built around maximizing the difference between your life total and your opponents'. Astarion, the Decadent functions as a scaling finisher: once the table has been softened by your "lose half your life" effects, his Feed mode drains a target for everything they lost that turn, and Friends doubles your own lifegain. The deck's true engine room is the Sanguine Bond / Exquisite Blood family of combos, reinforced by Bloodthirsty Conqueror as a redundant Exquisite Half, and by "drain" pieces like Marauding Blight-Priest that turn life-gain into table-wide pinging. Aggrline win-cons are the Quetous Spike-arcane "lose half" packages on unblockable or recursing bodies such as Unstopppet Slasher, Shreder, and Radiounterer Man. Against an unwary table, one resolved half-life hit turns Exsanguimate or Astarion's end-step Feed into a conplete clear of total life.
