More Combos Than Dollars

Format: Commander

Commander: Bartolomé del Presidio

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Bartolome del Presidio is an in-command-zone sacrifice outlet. The deck is an Orzhov self-mill reanimator whose primary plan is to reanimate Boonweaver Giant, attach Angelic Renewal, sacrifice Boonweaver to Bartolome infinitely, and drain with Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance, Marionette Apprentice, Agent of the Iron Throne, or Ninja Teen. There is no double-faced commander; the hidden engine is the Boonweaver/Angelic Renewal loop. Secondary paths are value recursion from Sun Titan and Angel of Indemnity, and a commander-damage kill with Rogue's Passage after Bartolome has grown large. The deck is powerful when assembled, but every realistic win line funnels through the graveyard and through Bartolome.
