Deck overview

This mono-red artifact deck is commanded by Daretti, Scrap Savant, who functions as both a repeatable discard engine and a powerful reanimator from the command zone. The primary game plan accelerates early mana through dense 1-to-2 CMC mana rocks, deploys Daretti on Turn 3 or 4, and loots high-cost artifact threats directly into the graveyard. On Turns 4 to 5, the deck welds away inexpensive artifacts like Ichor Wellspring or Treasure tokens to cheat colossal permanents such as Portal to Phyrexia, Triplicate Titan, and Myr Battlesphere onto the battlefield. From there, the deck establishes an oppressive attrition lock, repeatedly wiping opposing creatures with Portal to Phyrexia while deploying massive artifact beaters. Supported by redundant recursion pieces like Goblin Welder and protection from Slobad, Goblin Tinkerer and Darksteel Forge, the deck overwhelms the table through relentless combat damage and asymmetric artifact wipes.
