Commander: The Madcap Jester

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Grixis theft-and-play-from-exile deck helmed by The Madcap Jester. The primary game plan is to exile cards from opponents' libraries using the commander's attack trigger and a dense suite of similar effects, then cast those cards with mana of any type. The deck leverages cost reducers like Jet Medallion and Bilbo, Thief in the Night to make stolen spells cheaper, and uses Passionate Archaeologist to convert each spell cast from exile into direct damage. There are no infinite combos; victory comes from overwhelming value, locking opponents out with Circu, Dimir Lobotomist's name-based restriction, or finishing with a massive Bitter Ordeal after a board wipe. The deck is a slow, grindy value engine that thrives on opponents' own cards.
